would love to see as many as possible of us again.

**Sanctuary Walk in Restored Quarry
Protecting and preserve local ecosystems and biodiversity
Celebrating 2011 International Year of the forest Anniversary of Rio Habitat Directive.
This is a unique restored Limestone quarry ,that has been restored by a group of dedicated people to sanctuary status. It is now filled with Irish species.There is no equivalent in all of Ireland. No other quarry has been restored in this way. The locals celebrate what has been achieved and support the group of people who have restored this environment. On this walk together with Ted we will plant locally sourced Crab apple and Hazel trees in keeping with local provenance which means they have been sourced locally within 10km to preserve genetic characteristic to recreate this lovely local woodland.
