lovely article about how we can save energy this Christmas.
Transition Town Kinsale would like to wish you all
a very Happy Christmas.

Over Christmas we use a lot of energy. Here’s some tips how to use less energy and have less impact on our environment:

  • Think about what presents you buy for Christmas, how are they packaged?
  • Reuse & Recycle wrapping paper.
  • Make presents & cards out of recyclable materials/decorations
  • You can buy food grown locally
  • Buy gifts which help people stay warm & help reduce heat use
  • Use recyclable bags when shopping
  • You can use Christmas dinner leftovers in sandwiches or feed the dog!
  • Or put them in the compost bin with food waste
  • Dispose of your Christmas tree properly
  • Give any unwanted presents to the charity shop
  • Turn your Christmas tree lights off & other lights when you go out,
  • and when you go to bed, it’s safer too!
