One Million Trees in One Day is a charity, not-for-profit, cross-border, community and environmental initiative which aims to plant a million young native trees at many different sites across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in 24 hours. We will establish individual trees and woodlands in both rural and urban areas that will grow for many many years and which will provide valuable resources, beneficial ecosystem services and a lasting legacy for future generations. Planting a million trees in one day is a great challenge. We believe that many hands make light work; the more people joining the huge team that will bring this project to fruition, the easier the job will be. It might rain, it might snow, it could be the hottest day of the year… but we’re going to give it our very best shot.
This will be a fun day for all and we need the help of the community to make this happen!
We hope to see you there!
